Spectrum Expands Fiber Network to Rural Communities in Five States
Charter's Spectrum has expanded its fiber network to nearly 25,000 locations across rural communities in Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Texas. This expansion is part of Spectrum's broader multi-year initiative to enhance broadband access in rural areas of the United States. The project is supported by a combination of Spectrum's investments and federal grant funding. In Florida, Spectrum services have been launched for 4,000 homes and businesses in Pasco County. In Indiana, the expansion covers thousands of locations across six counties, including Hamilton and Pike. Michigan sees expansions in Emmet, Crawford, and Cheboygan counties. Missouri's expansion includes Jefferson and Cape Girardeau counties, while in Texas, the network reaches Panola, Rusk, and Sabine counties. These efforts are aimed at improving internet connectivity in underserved areas.
