Bloomington Launches Accessibility Guides to Enhance Local Business Access for Disabled Individuals
Bloomington has introduced a new initiative to provide detailed accessibility information for 20 local destinations, including small businesses, cultural venues, and essential services. This effort, in collaboration with AccessAbleUSA and supported by the city's Economic and Sustainable Development Department, aims to bridge the information gap for people with disabilities. The guides, available online, offer comprehensive descriptions of accessibility features such as entrances, routes, restrooms, and seating. The initiative is designed to empower individuals with disabilities by providing them with the necessary information to navigate these locations effectively.
