Montgomery County Public Schools Celebrates Biliteracy Achievements Among Graduates
Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) has announced that its graduates have earned the Maryland Seal of Biliteracy in over 50 languages. This recognition is awarded to students who demonstrate proficiency in English and at least one other language. The initiative aims to encourage language learning and cultural understanding among students. MCPS is promoting language skills development through various resources available at the Montgomery County Public Libraries, which include books, videos, and digital materials in multiple languages. The school district is also offering engaging language activities through its 'Booked for the Summer' digital guide, available in several languages including English, Spanish, French, and Chinese.
