Anduril Partners with Elbit America for Army Howitzer Modernization Competition
Anduril has joined forces with Elbit America to compete in the U.S. Army's self-propelled howitzer modernization program. The partnership aims to provide the Sigma mobile tactical cannon, integrating Anduril's command, control, computers, communications, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR) capabilities. The Sigma system, built in the U.S., features a fully automated 155-mm cannon and a 10x10 vehicle provided by OshKosh Defense. The competition includes other contenders such as Hanwha Defense, Leonardo DRS, KNDS, Rheinmetall, and BAE Systems. The Army plans to award the contract next month, following a request for information issued in September.
