Edward Jones Report Highlights Financial Stress Among 216 Million Americans
A recent study by Edward Jones and Gallup reveals that financial stress is affecting approximately 216 million Americans, with only 16% feeling financially fulfilled. The study surveyed 5,075 U.S. adults aged 21 and older, highlighting that 83% experience financial stress, strain, or uncertainty. The majority, 51%, fall into a 'conflicted' middle category, indicating they are not in financial crisis but lack confidence in their financial stability. This stress is not limited to those in financial distress but also affects individuals who appear financially stable. The report emphasizes that financial security is more of an emotional state than a numerical one, with many individuals feeling insecure despite having healthy savings and staying out of debt.
