Consumer Product Safety Commission Recalls Over 132,000 'Skull Strobe' Fireworks Due to Explosion Risks
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of approximately 132,440 'Skull Strobe' fireworks rockets sold nationwide. These fireworks, imported by Jake's Fireworks Inc. and manufactured in China, have been identified as posing significant explosion and burn hazards. The CPSC warns that the rockets can explode prematurely before reaching their intended height, which could result in serious injuries. Although no incidents or injuries have been reported so far, the recall is a precautionary measure to prevent potential harm. The affected products were sold at fireworks stores across the United States from March 2025 through June 2026, priced between $12 and $25. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled fireworks immediately and return them to the place of purchase or the nearest Jake's Fireworks retail location for a full refund.
