Man Jumps from Second Floor to Escape Cleveland House Fire, Sustains Stable Injuries
A house fire occurred on the west side of Cleveland on Sunday morning, prompting a 25-year-old man to jump from the second floor to escape the blaze. The incident took place in the 3000 block of W 116th Street, with the Cleveland Division of Fire responding to the report at 9:47 a.m. The man was subsequently transported to MetroHealth in stable condition. The fire resulted in the displacement of one child and one adult, who are now receiving assistance from the Red Cross. Firefighters have estimated the total loss from the incident to be $100,000. While the cause of the fire is currently under investigation, the Cleveland Fire Department has indicated that it was determined to be accidental.
