Route 19 in Upper St. Clair to Close for Bridge Demolition, Affecting Local Traffic
PennDOT is set to close a section of Route 19 in Upper St. Clair, Pittsburgh, this weekend to demolish the Country Club Drive Bridge. The closure will begin at 6 a.m. on Saturday and is expected to last until 10 p.m. on Sunday, although it may reopen earlier if work is completed ahead of schedule. The bridge, which spans four lanes of Route 19, is being demolished due to its deteriorated condition. A detour has been established for both cars and trucks, directing southbound drivers through a seven-mile route involving McLaughlin Run Road, Lesnett Road, Mayview Road, and Boyce Road. This closure is part of a series of disruptions planned before the new bridge is completed in September.
