ICPC Inaugurates NYSC Anti-Corruption Unit, Emphasizes Ethical Standards
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has inaugurated the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU). During the induction ceremony in Abuja, Nigeria, ICPC Chairman Dr. Musa Aliyu, represented by Mr. Olusegun Adigun, charged the new ACTU members to uphold diligence, objectivity, and the highest ethical standards in their duties. The establishment of ACTU within the NYSC is intended to bolster internal accountability, foster ethical conduct, and institutionalize anti-corruption practices. Dr. Aliyu clarified that ACTU serves as a complementary structure to support NYSC Management, rather than competing with or interfering in administrative affairs.
