Study Reveals Income Disparities in Achieving Happiness Across Countries
A recent analysis by Remitly, based on Purdue University's research, highlights the income levels required to achieve happiness in various countries. The study reveals that Slovenia is the only country where the average wage exceeds the 'price of happiness.' In contrast, the United States, with an average wage of $75,300, covers only 55.8% of its $134,800 happiness threshold. The report indicates that high wages do not necessarily correlate with achieving happiness, as seen in countries like Australia and the UK, where the gap between average income and the happiness threshold remains significant.
