Starlink's India Launch Delayed Due to Website Glitch and Pending Approvals
Starlink, a satellite internet service by SpaceX, experienced a brief online stir when its India website mistakenly displayed pricing and service details, suggesting an imminent launch. The website showed tariffs, hardware costs, and a 30-day free trial, which led to widespread speculation. However, SpaceX clarified that these were not official figures but rather test data that went live due to a configuration glitch. Starlink has received several regulatory approvals in India, including a five-year authorization from IN-SPACe and a unified license with strict security conditions. Despite these approvals, the service is not yet available as final government clearances are still pending.
