Fire Department Faces Challenges in Ontario Warehouse Blaze, Suspected Arson Involved
A massive fire erupted at a Kimberly Clark paper products facility in Ontario, California, early Tuesday morning, leading to the collapse of the warehouse roof and forcing firefighters to retreat. The fire, which began around 12:30 a.m., quickly grew in intensity, overwhelming the firefighters who initially attempted to extinguish it. Approximately 20 workers were inside the building at the time of the fire, but no injuries have been reported. The Ontario Fire Department, led by Deputy Chief Mike Wedell, has been battling the blaze, which is suspected to be arson. One person has been taken into custody in connection with the incident. Firefighters have surrounded the building, pumping 1,000 gallons of water per minute to control the flames, which were still burning as of 6:30 a.m.
