Nigeria Pledges Support to Gulf Allies Amid US-Israel-Iran Tensions
President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria has expressed solidarity with Gulf states affected by the ongoing geopolitical tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran. During a diplomatic ceremony at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Tinubu emphasized Nigeria's commitment to peace and stability, naming Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Jordan as partners. The ceremony marked the accreditation of envoys from nine countries, providing a platform for Nigeria to signal its foreign policy priorities. Tinubu highlighted Nigeria's economic reforms aimed at attracting foreign investment and improving competitiveness, while also reiterating regional priorities such as stabilizing the Sahel and defending constitutional order within the Economic Community of West African States.
