Eastern Idaho Man Appointed President of Statewide Communication Association
Tony Lima, an eastern Idaho resident and Vice President of Public Relations and SEO at Melaleuca, has been appointed as the new president of the Idaho Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). The announcement was made by the Boise-based communication association, which is recognized as the leading professional organization for the communications community in the nation. Lima officially began his one-year term on September 14. His primary focus will be on expanding PRSA Idaho's statewide presence through various in-person and virtual programs, networking opportunities, and professional development initiatives. This appointment marks a significant step for the chapter, as Lima is the first president from eastern Idaho, signaling a shift towards a more regional approach for the organization. He aims to significantly increase membership by engaging strategic communications professionals across the state, beyond just the Boise area.
