Nationwide Drought Prompts Strict Water Use Restrictions
As the United States faces widespread drought conditions, water restrictions are being implemented across the country. According to USA Today, more than 61% of the nation is currently experiencing drought, the highest level in nearly four years. In response, states such as Arizona, Colorado, the Carolinas, Virginia, Texas, and Florida are enforcing measures to conserve water. For instance, Kearny, Arizona, is urging residents to reduce water usage by 30%, while Raleigh, North Carolina, has introduced restrictions for both residents and businesses. The drought is affecting not only residential areas but also agriculture and high-tech data centers, which are significant water consumers.
