Ukrainian SBU Special Ops Target Russian Military Assets in Crimea, Disabling Key Infrastructure
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) conducted a significant operation targeting Russian military assets in occupied Crimea. The operation, carried out by the SBU's Alpha special forces, involved the use of long-range drones to strike the Sevastopol naval base and Belbek airfield. The attack resulted in damage to several high-value Russian vessels, including the large landing ships Yamal and Filchenkov, and the reconnaissance ship Ivan Khurs. Additionally, a MiG-31 fighter jet was destroyed at Belbek airfield. The operation also targeted and disabled a radar station, a training center, and a radio intelligence headquarters, significantly impacting the Kremlin's regional surveillance and defense capabilities. This offensive is part of a series of successful operations by the SBU aimed at dismantling Russia's ability to control airspace and protect its forces.
