Record-Breaking Crowds Anticipated for Year-End Travel
As 2025 ends, holiday travel is expected to hit record levels, with AAA forecasting 119.7 million travelers, a 2.2% increase over 2024. Car travel remains the most popular, aided by lower average gas prices. Air travel will also rise 2.3%, with over 8 million passengers expected, marking a first for year-end holidays. Other travel modes, including cruises, trains, and buses, have increased 9%. Top U.S. destinations include Orlando, Miami, Los Angeles, New York City, Honolulu, Maui, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Las Vegas.
