Indonesia's Lampung-1 Satellite Raises Data Control Concerns Amid Chinese Partnership
Indonesia has launched a new satellite, Lampung-1, built and launched by a Chinese company, STAR.VISION Aerospace, in collaboration with a Chinese university and the Lampung provincial government. The satellite, named after a province on Sumatra island, is intended to monitor farms, coasts, and land, providing detailed images to assess crop health, water quality, and estimate harvest yields.
