Cross-Strait Youth Exchange Event in Shanghai Promotes Unity and Opposes Taiwan Independence
A cross-Strait youth exchange event recently opened in Shanghai, China, bringing together approximately 1,000 participants from both mainland China and Taiwan. The event, jointly organized by mainland and Taiwanese entities including the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and the youth development committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (KMT) party, aims to foster closer bonds and integration between young people. Song Tao, head of the Taiwan Work Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, urged participants to contribute to national rejuvenation, advocate for peace, and firmly oppose 'Taiwan independence' secessionist activities and external interference.
