President Biden's Audio Recordings Reveal Discussions of Classified Material and Memory Lapses
Recently released audio recordings and transcripts reveal President Joe Biden discussing sensitive information with his memoir ghostwriter, Mark Lewis Zwonitzer, prior to the 2020 presidential election. The Oversight Project, a conservative group linked to the Heritage Foundation, released these materials after Biden lost a legal battle to keep them private. The recordings include instances where Biden appears to discuss classified material and mentions memory lapses. The tapes were released following a lawsuit against the Justice Department, which Biden ultimately decided not to contest further. In the recordings, Biden is heard discussing notes from his vice-presidential tenure, some of which he acknowledges may be classified. The tapes also capture Biden's struggles with memory, as he forgets dates and information during the interviews.
