Norristown Schools Receive Nearly $1M for Clean-Energy Upgrades
The Norristown Area School District in Pennsylvania is set to receive nearly $1 million in funding for clean-energy upgrades at two of its schools. State Representatives Greg Scott, Matt Bradford, and Joe Webster announced the grants, which are part of the Solar for Schools Grant Program. The funding will support rooftop solar installations at Norristown Area High School and East Norriton Middle School, aiming to generate long-term utility savings and enhance the district's sustainability efforts. The grants include $480,000 for each school, with estimated annual savings of over $56,000 and $58,000, respectively. These projects are expected to modernize facilities and provide educational opportunities related to clean energy.
