Ascension Episcopal School Mourns Senior Killed in Baton Rouge Shooting
Ascension Episcopal School has announced the tragic death of one of its seniors, Martha Odom, who was killed in a shooting in Baton Rouge. The incident occurred off-campus and also resulted in injuries to two other students, while two additional students were present but unharmed. The school community is deeply affected by the loss, remembering Martha as a joyful and kind presence. The Head of School, Sarah Davenport, expressed the community's grief and emphasized the importance of supporting students, families, and staff during this difficult time. The school is providing counseling and pastoral support to help the community cope with the tragedy.
