APRA AMCOS CEO Dean Ormston Joins Australia's National Cultural Policy Advisory Group
Dean Ormston, CEO of APRA AMCOS, has been appointed to Australia's National Cultural Policy Advisory Group. This group, formed by the federal government, consists of nine members who will provide expert advice and industry perspectives to shape the country's cultural policy. Ormston, along with other notable figures such as Brenna Hobson from the Sydney Opera House and Adrian Collette from Creative Australia, will work on developing a policy that aims to unlock the potential of Australia's cultural sector, particularly in music. The initiative is part of a broader five-year action plan called Revive, introduced by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in January 2023, which includes strategic investments and the creation of Music Australia to support contemporary music development.
