Holon Urban Renewal Project to Add Over 1,000 Housing Units in Jesse Cohen Neighborhood
Holon is advancing a significant urban renewal project in the Jesse Cohen neighborhood, aiming to replace older housing structures with high-rise residential towers. The project, spearheaded by developer Prashkovsky and other firms, targets the southern part of the neighborhood and is being fast-tracked through planning processes. The plan involves demolishing 13 residential buildings containing 238 apartments and constructing seven towers, each between 30 to 40 stories, resulting in approximately 1,050 new housing units. This development is part of a broader initiative to transform the neighborhood into a major redevelopment hub, with plans for up to 11 towers, commercial spaces, and improved transportation access. The project aligns with Holon's long-term development strategy through 2040, emphasizing dense residential construction, commercial uses, and expanded public spaces.
