Trump's Envoys Consult Oak Ridge Experts on Potential Iran Nuclear Deal
Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, acting as envoys for President Trump, have engaged with experts at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee to discuss preparations for a potential nuclear agreement with Iran. According to a report by Axios, the meeting involved around 100 nuclear experts who could play a role in future negotiations with Iran. The discussions are part of a broader strategy to ensure the U.S. is prepared for a possible deal, which would include verifying Iran's compliance, limiting its nuclear enrichment, and managing existing nuclear materials. This consultation follows previous efforts by some of these experts in handling enriched Venezuelan uranium, which was recently transported to South Carolina.
