Cleveland Ferguson III Appointed Interim CEO of Jacksonville Transportation Authority
Cleveland Ferguson III, the current Chief Administrative Officer of the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA), has been unanimously selected by the JTA Board of Directors to serve as the interim CEO. This appointment follows the resignation of Nat Ford, who announced in July his departure to become President and CEO of Dallas Area Rapid Transit, effective late October. Ferguson has been with the JTA since 2015, holding various executive leadership roles, including executive vice president and chief administrative officer for the past three years. His responsibilities have included overseeing key administrative, technology, and economic development initiatives, and representing the JTA before congressional leaders and the U.S. Department of Transportation on critical issues such as safety-sensitive transportation operations, housing and transit, autonomous vehicle technology, and workforce development.
