India-Japan Seminar Highlights New Workforce Mobility Initiatives
A seminar in Tokyo, organized by the Embassy of India in Japan and ASEAN ONE Co. Ltd, focused on workforce mobility cooperation between India and Japan. The event brought together Japanese policymakers, industry leaders, and Indian officials to discuss long-term cooperation in skilled workforce mobility and human resource development. Key participants included Japanese government officials and Indian dignitaries. Vandana Gurnani, Secretary of the Ministry of Labour & Employment, emphasized India's role as a trusted global workforce partner. Discussions included expanding Japanese language readiness, sector-specific skilling, and building transparent workforce mobility pathways. The seminar highlighted the potential for cooperation in sectors like manufacturing, caregiving, and IT.
