Sterling Heights Police Department Releases 'Slim Shady' Parody Video to Promote School Bus Safety
The Sterling Heights Police Department, in collaboration with Sterling Heights Television (SHTV) and students from Henry Ford II High School, has released a public safety video titled "The Real Miss Daisy." This video is a parody of Eminem's song "The Real Slim Shady" and aims to remind drivers about the importance of stopping for school buses. The project was conceived by Lt. Aaron Susalla, who also wrote the parody lyrics and appears as the featured rapper. Students from Henry Ford II High School were actively involved in both on-camera roles and behind-the-scenes production. The video emphasizes that drivers must stop when a school bus has its red lights flashing and its stop arm extended, with no exceptions. This initiative comes as students return to school, increasing bus activity in residential areas.
