VFW's Day of Service Empowers Veterans to Strengthen Local Communities
The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) is set to host its fifth annual Day of Service on May 2, 2026, encouraging veterans to lead local service projects. This initiative, which began in 2022 as part of VFW's Still Serving campaign, has grown significantly, with over 2,300 projects in 2025 and more expected this year. The Day of Service allows veterans to engage in community service, fostering a sense of purpose and camaraderie. The event is supported by sponsors such as Humana, USAA, CenterWell, and loanDepot.
