Taiwan Launches National Robotics Center with $629 Million Funding to Boost Automation
Taiwan has inaugurated the National Center for AI Robotics (NCAIR) as part of a $629 million funding initiative to enhance its domestic robotics industry. This move is part of a broader 'Ten AI Initiatives Promotion Plan' aimed at expanding Taiwan's capabilities in artificial intelligence and robotics. The center will focus on developing robotics technologies for various sectors, including healthcare, hospitality, and high-risk industrial tasks. The funding is expected to support the creation of at least three new robotics startups by 2029, strengthening Taiwan's position in the global automation race.
