Jared Armstrong's Initiative Renovates Israeli Basketball Courts for War-Affected Children
American-Israeli professional basketball player Jared Armstrong is spearheading a project to renovate basketball courts across Israel, particularly in areas affected by conflict. Through his nonprofit, JAB Courts, Armstrong aims to provide children with a safe space to play and heal amidst the ongoing tensions. The initiative has already seen the renovation of 17 courts, with plans to continue at a rate of 18 new courts per year. Armstrong, who moved to Israel in 2020, has faced challenges, including a legal battle for citizenship, but remains committed to his mission. His efforts are not only focused on Jewish communities but also extend to Arab and Christian areas, promoting unity and resilience through sports.
