Osceola County Agriculture Instructor Kyndall Brown Named Florida's Teacher of the Year
Kyndall Brown, an agriculture teacher at Harmony Middle School in Osceola County, has been awarded the title of Florida's Teacher of the Year. The announcement was made during an award ceremony in Orlando. Brown was recognized for her passion for agriculture, commitment to hands-on learning, and dedication to student success. Osceola Superintendent Mark Shanoff praised her as a 'difference maker' in education, highlighting her knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to make learning meaningful. Brown has developed a rigorous agri-science curriculum and established partnerships with local farms to provide students with real-world experience. She also initiated a fishing club at the school. Brown's career path includes roles as a meat inspector and sales representative before she found her calling in education. She holds a bachelor's degree in animal sciences from Mississippi State University and a master's degree in business from Louisiana State University Shreveport.
