Limpopo Department Invites Hemp Permit Holders for Pilot Project Support
The Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (LDARD) is calling on hemp permit holders in the province to apply for participation in a hemp pilot project. This initiative aims to provide selected farmers with production inputs and small infrastructure support. To qualify, applicants must hold a valid Limpopo hemp permit, be previously disadvantaged South African citizens aged 18 or older, and have the capacity to act on behalf of their legal entity. Additionally, they must have security of tenure or valid land-use rights, and water-use registration or a license. Public servants, including government employees and traditional leaders, are not eligible. Interested farmers must submit a completed application form with supporting documents, such as a valid hemp permit, lease agreement, or title deed, and a business plan. Applications close on August 11, 2026.
