Maryland's 'Restore Baltimore' Program Receives $500K to Enhance Workforce Training
The B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore has been awarded a $500,000 grant from Maryland's Road to Careers initiative to expand its 'Restore Baltimore' workforce training program. This program, in partnership with the Community College of Baltimore County, offers a six-month earn-and-learn opportunity focusing on rail operations, historic restoration, and construction trades. Participants receive hands-on training and earn $15 per hour while gaining skills in various trades. The initiative aims to increase the number of skilled workers in the transportation and construction sectors, providing critical support services to help participants succeed.
