Utah Lake Hosts First-Ever Fireworks Show for Pioneer Day Amid Rising Melanoma Rates
Utah Lake is set to host its inaugural fireworks show in celebration of Pioneer Day, a significant event for the local community. The show, organized by local and state representatives, will take place near American Fork Marina and feature fireworks launched from two barges. This event comes as Utah grapples with the highest melanoma rates in the country, a concern highlighted by recent federal data. The state's melanoma rate is nearly double the national average, attributed to factors such as a predominantly white population and a culture of outdoor recreation.
