Ursa Major Completes Solid Rocket Motor Project with U.S. Navy, Enhancing Naval Capabilities
Ursa Major has successfully completed the Solid Rocket Motor (SRM) Manufacturing Pathfinder Program in collaboration with the U.S. Navy and the Office of Strategic Capital. The program, which concluded on schedule in February 2026, involved a joint investment of $12.5 million each from the U.S. Navy and Ursa Major. The company designed, manufactured, and successfully conducted a static fire test of a 10-inch SRM prototype, which met all performance objectives and burn duration requirements. This development marks a significant milestone in Ursa Major's ongoing efforts to enhance SRM capabilities, having previously worked on motors ranging from 2-inch to 7-inch diameters.
