Trump Media Considers Charging Fee for Priority Access to Social Media Posts, Raising Ethical Concerns
The Trump Media and Technology Group, which owns the social media platform Truth Social, is reportedly considering implementing a fee structure for priority access to President Trump's social media posts. According to reports, the company is contemplating a $100,000 monthly fee for financial traders and firms to gain early access to Trump's posts. A lower-tier fee of $60,000 per month is also being discussed for firms committing to a three-year plan. This proposal has sparked significant ethical concerns, with critics arguing that it could create a barrier to government transparency and allow President Trump to profit from his position. The move comes as President Trump continues to use Truth Social as his primary platform for communication, following his suspension from other social media platforms after the 2020 presidential election.
