NPR Editor Pallavi Gogoi Departs for Columbia, NHPR Announces Key Promotions
NPR's Chief Business Editor, Pallavi Gogoi, is set to leave the network on August 3 to become the executive director of the Knight-Bagehot Fellowship in economics and business journalism at Columbia Journalism School. Gogoi, who joined NPR in 2017, has been recognized for her leadership in providing in-depth coverage of business, economics, and technology. Her new role at Columbia will begin on August 17, succeeding Robert Smith. Meanwhile, New Hampshire Public Radio (NHPR) has announced significant promotions within its ranks. Rebecca Lavoie has been promoted to Chief Content Officer, and Dan Barrick has been named Vice President of News. Lavoie, who joined NHPR in 2010, has been instrumental in advancing the station's public-service mission. Barrick, who joined NHPR in 2015, has been credited with enhancing the station's news coverage and management.
