Storm Chaser Rescues Kitten from Tornado-Ravaged Mississippi Trailer Park
In the aftermath of a series of tornadoes that struck Mississippi, storm chaser Ashton Lemley discovered a kitten amidst the debris of a devastated trailer park in Bogue Chitto. The tornadoes, which flattened homes and injured a dozen people, left the area in ruins. While navigating through the wreckage, Lemley heard the faint meows of a kitten, prompting a search that led to the animal's rescue. The kitten was found wet and frightened but unharmed, hiding between two wooden posts. Lemley, who has been chasing storms since 2010, captured the rescue on video and handed the kitten over to the United Cajun Navy, a volunteer disaster-response group. The kitten's survival has sparked interest from potential adopters, with some suggesting the name 'Tornado' for the resilient feline.
