Rip Current and Flood Watches Issued for Florida's Gulf Coast
Multiple weather advisories have been issued for Florida's Gulf Coast, including a Rip Current Statement, a Flood Watch, and a Small Craft Advisory. The Rip Current Statement is in effect until Monday at 8:00 PM EDT for Coastal Manatee, Sarasota, Hillsborough, and Pinellas counties. A Flood Watch is active from Saturday at 12:00 PM EDT through Monday at 8:00 PM EDT for both inland and coastal areas of Hernando and Citrus counties. Additionally, a Small Craft Advisory will be in effect on Sunday from 11:00 AM EDT to 8:00 PM EDT for coastal waters stretching from Tarpon Springs to the Suwannee River, Florida, out to 20 nautical miles. These advisories highlight the potential for hazardous conditions along the coast and in nearby waters.
