SFMTA Prepares for Outside Lands Festival with Enhanced Transit Services
The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) has announced a series of transit and traffic adjustments in anticipation of the Outside Lands festival, scheduled from August 7 to August 9, 2026, in Golden Gate Park. The festival is expected to attract over 75,000 attendees each day. To accommodate the increased demand, SFMTA will provide supplemental Muni services, including the N Judah and 5R Fulton Rapid lines, with additional buses running from 2 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily. Concertgoers can also utilize a private shuttle service operating between the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and the festival venue. Temporary taxi stands and monitored bicycle parking will be available to ease transportation. The agency advises attendees to allow extra travel time due to anticipated heavy traffic and high ridership on public transit routes.
