Pakistani Airstrikes in Afghanistan Result in Civilian Casualties Amid Ongoing Conflict
Recent airstrikes by Pakistan in Afghanistan have resulted in the deaths of at least 13 individuals, including 11 children, a woman, and an elderly man, according to Taliban chief spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid. These strikes targeted the Afghan provinces of Khost, Kunar, and Paktika. The airstrikes follow a series of violent exchanges between the two countries, which have been engaged in conflict since February. The latest escalation occurred after suspected Pakistani Taliban militants attacked a security post in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, leading to a gunbattle that killed six members of the Federal Constabulary. Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has vowed to intensify operations against militant groups threatening peace and security.
