Kansas City Prepares for More Storms Following Monday's Tornadoes
Kansas City is bracing for additional storms as cleanup efforts continue after Monday's tornadoes. According to Kansas Public Radio, a tornado struck just west of Ottawa, Kansas, causing significant damage to homes and businesses, particularly along South Princeton Street. The Knights Inn Motel in Ottawa suffered extensive damage, with its roof and windows blown out. Residents, including Kolton George and Ravi Prajapati, took shelter in the motel's basement during the storm. The National Weather Service has indicated a low risk of tornadoes for Tuesday evening, with a 2-4% chance in the Kansas City area. However, there is a higher likelihood of severe winds and hail, with a 15-29% chance across most of Missouri.
