Toronto Police Locate Missing Teen After Two-Week Search, Bringing Relief to Community
After nearly two weeks of intensive search efforts, 14-year-old Esti from Toronto has been found safe. The search, which involved law enforcement and hundreds of community volunteers, concluded when Esti was located at a residence in Etobicoke. Superintendent Don Belanger of the Toronto Police Service confirmed her discovery and noted that she appeared to be in good physical health. However, she was taken to a hospital for further examination to assess any emotional impact from her disappearance. The investigation will now focus on determining if any criminal activity was involved in her prolonged absence. Esti's disappearance had prompted a Level 1 search operation, the highest level, due to concerns for her safety as she is on the autism spectrum.
