The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C., has been vandalized with graffiti reading '86 47', coinciding with a high-profile renovation project ordered by President Trump. The U.S. Park Police have launched an investigation into the incident, which was reported by the National Park Service. The graffiti, measuring approximately 15 by 30 feet, has been interpreted by some as a threat against President Trump, the 47th president. This act of vandalism follows the recent indictment of former FBI Director James Comey, who was charged with making a threat against the president after posting a similar message on social media. The renovation project, overseen by Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, aims to address leakage issues by installing a flag-blue surface at the pool's bottom. The incident has heightened security concerns, especially after a recent attempted assassination charge against a man at a White House event.
