Verdugo Jobs Center Offers Training for Former JPL Employees Post-Workforce Reduction
The Verdugo Jobs Center, in collaboration with the City of Glendale, has secured an additional assistance grant aimed at providing short-term training opportunities for individuals laid off from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) starting in October 2025. This initiative is designed to help former JPL employees acquire new skills, earn certifications, and prepare for new career paths. The center has already facilitated training in various fields such as project management, business analysis, Python programming, artificial intelligence, data science, Six Sigma, digital marketing, Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD. These opportunities are intended to assist individuals in enhancing their skills, transitioning into new roles, or remaining competitive in the current job market. The Verdugo Jobs Center encourages affected former JPL employees to reach out for information on eligibility and available services.
