Evansville Woman Returns to Kansas Hospital to Thank Staff After Deadly Dust Storm Crash
An Evansville woman, Denise Allison, returned to Wesley Medical Center in Kansas to express her gratitude to the medical staff who treated her after a severe dust storm crash on Interstate 70. The incident occurred while Allison and her sister, Stephanie, were driving back to Evansville. The dust storm severely limited visibility, leading to a collision with a semi-truck. Tragically, Stephanie died at the scene, while Denise sustained serious injuries but was spared internal damage. After spending seven days at Wesley Medical Center, Denise was transferred to a facility closer to Evansville. Now fully recovered, she returned to the hospital to thank the nurses who played a crucial role in her recovery.
