Strayer University Students Win NSA Codebreaker Challenge, Highlighting Cybersecurity Skills
Strayer University announced that its students secured first place in Division II of the 2025 National Security Agency's (NSA) Codebreaker Challenge. This annual cybersecurity competition allows students from various U.S.-based academic institutions to engage in mission-oriented scenarios. The challenge, which ran from September 24, 2025, to January 14, 2026, involved thousands of participants across hundreds of institutions. Strayer University's students excelled in a scenario supporting the U.S. Air Force Cyber Operations Squadron, requiring advanced skills in reverse engineering, vulnerability research, cryptography, and digital forensics. Dr. Antoinette Farmer-Thompson, President of Strayer University, praised the students' achievement as a testament to the strength of their cybersecurity program and the dedication of their faculty.
