Severe Storms Cause Damage and Power Outages in Maryland
A severe storm swept through central Maryland on Tuesday afternoon, bringing torrential rain, swirling clouds, and damaging winds. The storm prompted a tornado watch across much of the region, though the only confirmed tornado occurred south of Easton, Maryland, on the other side of the Chesapeake Bay. The storm caused significant damage, including downed trees and power outages affecting over 300,000 customers. Drone footage captured the dramatic approach of the storm cell, showcasing its intensity and rapid development.
