Louisiana Seeks Education Consultant to Develop French Instructional Materials
The Council for the Development of French in Louisiana (CODOFIL) is seeking an Education Consultant 4 WAE to manage the development of French instructional materials for immersion schools across the state. This part-time position, located at the Capitol Annex Building in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, requires the candidate to be fluent in French, as determined by CODOFIL's Executive Director. The role involves leading the statewide French instructional materials program, encompassing activities such as translation, adaptation, publication, quality assurance, and distribution of Tier 1 instructional materials and related supports. The consultant will also be responsible for planning and implementing future translation initiatives, revisions, and expansion to additional subjects or grade levels as funding becomes available. CODOFIL, as Louisiana's Agency of Francophone Affairs, aims to highlight Louisiana French as both a deeply rooted heritage language and a connection to a globalized world.
